A children’s chapter story about finding fossils.
Chapter 1
It was time for school. Sonia’s dog Rex needed a walk, so Mom was walking with Sonia to school.
“Look what I read this morning,” Mom said. She held up the newspaper. “They found a whale skeleton, just a few miles away!”
“Let me see,” Sonia said. She looked at the picture. It was a very big skeleton, with a long tail. “Wow!”
“Woof!” Rex said.
At school, Sonia told her friends about the whale.
“Maybe we can look for bones too,” Lexi said.
“Yeah,” Katie said. “I bet we could find a dinosaur!”
“Let’s start at recess,” Rose said.
