Fiction, Writing
A flash fiction story.
“When I come back, I don’t want to see you here.” Tim slammed the door behind him, leaving his new ex, Tina, seething and shaking.
“You’ll be sorry Timothy Johnson!” she yelled at the door. She sat on the couch they had bought together and started punching the cushions. But it wasn’t enough. Angry tears streamed down her face as she searched the room for something, anything that could hurt Tim the way he had just hurt her. Then she spotted the aquarium.
It was full of fish—clown loaches, tetras, catfish—pets that Tim loved and cared for. Tina used to feed them on days Tim worked late.
Tina smiled. “Perfect.” She turned the stove on in the kitchen and walked to the fish tank. “Here fishy, fishy.”
